At SUN Behavioral Health Kentucky, we solve unmet needs and understand the importance of anger management therapy for people and their relationships. Our no-cost care assessment allows people to meet with a representative to determine the best care plan for their needs before starting anger management therapy. We are here to help you, and we will work with you, your doctors, and consider any assessments you have done to determine the best plan of action for your needs.
Anger is a healthy emotion. People naturally feel anger, but sometimes, it can become a concern. When it occurs intensely, it can harm relationships, schooling, and work. Anger management therapy can help people learn healthy techniques to express and control anger.
Our mental health services at SUN Behavioral Health Kentucky provide anger management therapy, including inpatient and outpatient programming.
Our inpatient programming is available to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. When people attend our inpatient services, they are here typically for 7-14 days.
Our outpatient programming involves partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programming. Our groups discuss mental health, specialty trauma, and dual diagnosis. PHP occurs from 9 to 2:30 on Monday through Friday for both teens and adults and 3 days a week, people participate in art and recreational therapy.
IOP for teens is from 9 until 2:30 on Monday through Friday, while IOP for adults is from 9 to 12 Monday through Friday. We also offer an adult IOP group in the evening 3 nights a week from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM.

When people receive group therapy during anger management, they can connect with individuals who are in a similar position as themselves, which can make them feel like they are not alone in their anger. Because they feel understood, it can reduce feelings of anger. Group therapy also provides a supportive environment where peers can encourage each other along the anger management journey.
